What does it mean to be a “Star Seller” on Etsy?

A Star Seller is Etsy’s way of rewarding Etsy sellers who have a proven record of consistently providing excellent experience in areas we know are important to shoppers, such as:

• Responding to messages quickly

• Shipping quickly and providing shipping info

• 5-star product ratings

How do you qualify for a star seller on Etsy?

On the 1st of every month, Etsy will determine your eligibility for Star Seller by looking back at the last three months of your shop’s performance. Your rating average must be 4.8 or higher to qualify for this status. To get this average, Etsy takes the ratings on all the reviews you received in a three-month period, then adds them up, and divides them by the number of reviews you received.

How much do you have to sell to be a Star Seller on Etsy?

To be a Star Seller, you have to have received and fulfilled at least 5 orders within a review period. Cancelled orders will not be counted toward Star Seller status. You can learn more about this here.

What happens when you get a star seller?

Star Sellers will get a special badge on their Etsy shop, making it easier for customers to identify and shop from customer experience all-stars.

Is Etsy’s star seller permanent?

Being a Star Seller shows your commitment to excellent customer service and compliant with all of Etsy’s policies. However, if your shop continuously fails to meet these standards, this badge may be retracted.

How often does Etsy update star seller stats?

Etsy updates data for Star Seller every 24 hours, so your metrics will update daily.
